I Meant What I Said, and I Said What I Meant

What ever happened to commitment? When people said they would do something they did. They didn't say they'd do something when they knew they didn't have time. People didn't give you their word then back out on you because it wasn't as fun as they thought it would be. No, when people said they'd do something it was for real.

No one has to commit to anything. People don't have to commit when they volunteer, and people don't have to commit when they get married. People aren't even getting married anymore! Everything is so self centered that not committing so we feel free to changing our minds has become a right! Whatever happened to depending on people? Whatever happen to giving one's word was enough? Whatever happened to commitment?
